Necessary storage
Versioned first-party localStorage and IndexedDB entries support preferences, explicit local drafts, practice history, calibration, and the consent choice. These features do not require advertising storage.

Umami excludes URL search parameters and hashes. Advertising consent signals remain denied in every case.
Allowed analytics fields
Events may include mode, context, file type, export type, a coarse word-count bucket, duration bucket, and calibrated yes/no. Draft text, paragraph text, URLs, emails, names, filenames, and local document titles are prohibited.
GA4 choice lifetime
The first-party GA4 choice expires after 180 days, after which the site asks again. Accept and reject controls are equally prominent. Continuing to browse is not treated as GA4 consent. Umami is not controlled by this choice because its tracker does not use cookies.
